What are your gaming essentials? These are the games you think no gamer should go without. Are they well known classics or little known, unappreciated gems? Post it here!
I don't hear this one talked about all that much. It was the last in a series of NES ports of computer games. The original series of games, the "Macventure" series, were all very different from one another but, used the same sort of interface. It was preceded by Shadowgate and Deja Vu. Even so, Uninvited seems to be the least focused and most random of the three. This is sort of in it's favor, however, giving it a strange charm. The music in all three games was pretty great, too.

Ok so I owned a cdi yes the system everyone hated. I played all of the zelda games and even the mario game. I beat them actually hahaha. This was one of the games which I actually really enjoyed. It's so bad that it's good? It was called laser lords and all of the cutscenes were claymation. The same developer also did an Alice in wonderland in the same style but it wasn't as good.

Secret of Evermore Console: SNES Developer: Square USA Publisher: Squaresoft Release Date: 1995
Here's another one that means a lot to me but, goes almost completely unspoken of. Secret of Evermore was, strangely enough, created by Square of America. It uses a very similar design to a Square of Japan title called Secret of Mana, which was much more popular and spawned an impressive collection of sequels. While I cherish my memories of SoM, it don't feel like it even comes close to Secret of Evermore. I consider the plot to be much more immersive and well paced than SoM; I really got sucked in to this one. The music is incredibly effective at producing a particular atmosphere. The visuals were moody but, very fun and a little silly at the same time. Of course, the gameplay is fantastic. I'd even go so far as to say that it's an improvement on Mana's combat system. I could really go on and on about it but, I'll just say it's a must play and I encourage you all to turn out the lights, put up the sound, and give this one a go on a nice, quiet night.

Hello there, I felt I needed to register and personally thank you, dp, for reminding me that Rayman existed. I loved that game so much and I can't believe I totally forgot about it. THANK YOU.
Also, the first 3 of the Crash Bandicoot series were great game experiences. Final Fantasy Tactics is also an INCREDIBLE game, if you have the attention span to beat it.

Ordered a copy of Secret of Evermore off of Amazon and it just arrived. I really like what I have played of it so far. Before I get too serious with it though I'm going to replace the battery.
