Alright, I'm not sure if everyone has noticed alot of old school games making comebacks or not but I'm really a big fan. What is your favorite old school game that has been brought back recently or a new franchise but with the spirit of old school gaming.
for me it's got to be the megan man series, when they made a new megaman game *megaman 9* i was about to cry with tears of joy. Then when they continued and made megaman 10 I knew that this was a good year. So for me I'm going to say Megaman 9 and megaman 10
MEGAMAN 9
MEGAMAN 10

Got Retro Game Challenge recently, been having fun with that. I love the whole premise of the game is you are a kid in the early 80s and you have to complete challenges in 8 new NES games they made just for this. All 8 of the games are full NES games, there's even a Dragon Quest clone. You can even collect old game magazines to look for cheats and tips, I definitely recommended it to anyone that grew up playing NES in the 80's

This actually isn't that current but, my favorite old school gaming comeback might be
The old Metal Gears were great (even Snake's Revenge had a certain charm) and the Solid series is probably my favorite series in the post-snes gaming era. In fact, MGS4 is my undisputed second best game of all time.

Not to sound like a fanboy or obsessed or anything, but I believe one of the greatest video game comebacks (and the series who stayed on hiatus for the longest time before a new itineration) is Street Fighter 4. Single handedly reinvigorated the fighting game market.

retro game challenge is actually a pretty cool concept. and I like the new street fighter series and the new version super street fighter 4 as you have seen has it's on thread here so I'm sure a ton of people are excited.
I remember growing up I always loved that intro scene they show in the beginning which has nothing to do with the game or any of the characters of levels you fight in. but it just made me happy seeing it

i've been waffling on this one. at first announcement i was excited, but something about the first trailer bothered me. but the whole game has been uploaded to youtube, and it looks cool, but something still seems off. i think it's related to sonics character animation.
one interesting thing is that when you sent flying into the air, sonic stops rolling, meaning you can't just land on an enemy and kill them, you have to use the homing attack instead. i like little things like that though.
